Even though Nevada has been my address for the last 15 years, Texas still feels like my "home state" because that's where I grew up. The hill country is my favorite area because there's nothing like Texas bluebonnets in the spring. My husband and I have three children and seven grandchildren, four of whom are "steps". We love them all. I chose Grandma's Kitchen as my blog ID because my own grandmother's kitchen was such a welcoming place. A place where we could relax, visit, make ourselves at home, share news and look at family photos. It was a comfortable room full of love and the delicious smells of whatever happened to be in the oven that day. The innocence and security of my childhood returns to me whenever I picture her and her kitchen.
